When Grainews was at the Mennonite Heritage Village Tractor Trek in early June, one tractor participating in the event caught our eye. A clever modification allowed one tractor to nearly double its road speed by routing power from the PTO to an old truck axle on a trailer. The trailer axle could then push the tractor down the road much faster than the tractor could move on its own. In this video, machinery editor Scott Garvey takes a closer look at it.
