– Over 14,000 sheep are dead after a cargo ship capsized in the Black Sea off the coast of Romania. All of the crew were rescued, but only 33 sheep, after the Queen Hind overturned for yet unknown reasons on Sunday.
– The Winnipeg Blue Bombers defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 33-12 in Calgary Sunday evening, winning their first Grey Cup in 29 years. Winnipeg-born Andrew Harris was both the most valuable player and the most valuable Canadian, after scoring two touchdowns in the game.
