– A British politician was reportedly stabbed multiple times while meeting with constituents at a church in eastern England. David Amess, 69, is a Member of Parliament for the ruling Conservative Party. A suspect was arrested and Amess was reportedly receiving treatment at the scene.

– An explosion at a Shia mosque in Kandahar, Afghanistan during Friday prayers reportedly killed at least 32 people and injured 45 more. Four suicide bombers were said to be behind the attack, although there was no immediate claim of responsibility. The bombing comes a week after dozens were killed at a similar bombing in northern Afghanistan.

– United States land, air and sea borders will officially open to vaccinated travellers on Nov. 8.
