– Children in China as young as three years of age will soon begin receiving COVID-19 vaccines, according to reports. China is taking a zero-tolerance approach to new outbreaks, with a number of provinces also facing new lockdown measures.
– Greenhouse gas concentrations hit a new record in 2020, according to new data from the World Meteorological Organization. In its annual report, the United Nations agency said concentrations of carbon dioxide hit 413.2 parts per million, with the current rate of increases likely to result in temperature rises well above the 2015 Paris Agreement 1.5 degrees Celsius target.
