Global Markets: G20 to meet in Rome

WINNIPEG, Oct. 29 (MarketsFarm) – The following is a glance at the news moving markets in Canada and globally.

– Leaders of the Group of 20 countries, including Canada’s Justin Trudeau and United States President Joe Biden, will meet in Rome this weekend to talk in person for the first time in more than two years. Global cooperation in the face of the pandemic is expected to be a major topic, but Russia’s Vladimir Putin and China’s Xi Jinping will both be absent from the meetings. Climate issues will also be discussed at the G20 ahead of the United Nation’s Climate Change Conference that starts in Glasgow on Oct. 31.
