We offer our condolences to the friends and family of Wilbur Stewart, Big Valley, Alta., who passed away June 4, 2022 at the age of 94. Stewart was a long-time Limousin cattle producer and pedigreed seed grower.
Stewart served as a director on the provincial and national Limousin association boards. He was active with the Alberta Beef Producers and the then called Canadian Cattlemen’s Association.

In his later years, Stewart received the Alberta Farm and Ranch Award for 100 years of Stewart ownership of the land.
His Christian faith was important to him. He attended the Evangelical Free Church of Erskine, Alta., and before that, the Stettler Baptist Church.
Stewart’s first wife Melva predeceased him in 2002, as did a very young son, Lee, due to a tragic farm accident. His second wife, Peggy, survives him, as does daughter Dana (Todd) Mandle; his sons Kevin (Delaine); Eldon (Winnie); Murray (Bev); and stepson Keith (Pam) Worth. Also, 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren mourn his passing.
