- Out-of-control wildfires near Halifax continued Tuesday, with hot and windy conditions creating challenges for firefighters, according to reports. The fires have already burned hundreds of buildings and forced the mandatory evacuation of thousands of homes in suburban communities north of the city. No injuries have been reported yet.
