WINNIPEG, Dec. 21 (CNS Canada) – Feed wheat prices in Saskatchewan rose two cents last week. Bids are now going for C$3.45 to C$5.33 per bushel while in Manitoba they fell by one cent to come in at C$4.40 to C$4.99, according to the Prairie Ag Hotwire.
Cold arctic air is once again threatening crops in the US Great Plains. A report from DTN says the warm fall gave wheat good above-ground growth but drought has damaged the plants underground. The coming blast of cold air, coupled with a lack of snow cover in many areas, could threaten winter wheat crops in areas like Kansas.

Feed barley bids in the key cattle feeding area of
Lethbridge, Alberta were in the C$170 to C$175 per tonne range
as of December 16, which was the same as the previous week, according to the latest pricing information from the provincial government. Feed wheat prices were virtually the same, coming in at approximately C$190 per tonne in Lethbridge.
CORN futures in Chicago ended three cents weaker, weighed down by the stronger US dollar and chart-based trading.
