Canadian dollar and business outlook

WINNIPEG, Sept. 30 (MarketsFarm) – The Canadian dollar was slightly weaker Friday morning, although activity was thin with many Canadian government and financial institutions closed for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
At 8:41 a.m. CDT Friday morning the Canadian dollar was at US$0.7280 or US$1=C$1.3736, which compares with Thursday’s close of US$0.7296 or US$1=C$1.3707.
Crude oil was softer, with West Texas Intermediate crude oil down by 0.9 per cent at 80.48 per barrel.
The TSX was up by 12.59 points at 8:41 CDT, trading at 18,454.43 points.
