The Canadian Wheat Board has put out combined interim and final payments to Prairie farmers for board grains delivered in the 2007-08 crop year.
Direct deposits have been credited to farmers’ accounts and cheques representing the interim and final payments were to be mailed Monday, the CWB said in a release.

- $21.49 per tonne for No. 1 Canada Western Red Spring (CWRS) wheat at 12.5 per cent protein, for a total of $368.59 per tonne including initial and adjustment payments during the crop year;
- $30.85 per tonne for No. 1 Canada Western Amber Durum (CWAD) wheat, also at 12.5 per cent protein, for a total of $510.35 per tonne including initial and adjustment payments;
- $58.17 per tonne for No. 1 CW feed barley, Pool B, for a total of $280.67 per tonne; and
- $29.59 and $28.61 per tonne for Special Select CW two-row and six-row designated barleys, respectively, for totals of $299.59 and $272.61 per tonne.
The final payments represent the balance of the money owing to farmers after their grain has been marketed through the CWB, and after operating costs have been deducted, the board said.
