WINNIPEG, June 26 (CNS Canada) – Average trade estimates are calling for a slight downward revision in Canadian barley seedings in 2017 compared to the previous year, with Statistics Canada’s field crop area report on June 29 expected to shed some light on the extent of the decline.
Barley area is forecast at about 5.8 million to 6.4 million acres, which would compare with the 6.4 million seeded in 2016.
