WINNIPEG, April 24 (CNS Canada) – About 275,000 tonnes of wheat were exported last week, according to data from the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) for the week ending April 16.
That brings the year-to-date total near 12 million tonnes, which compares with close to 12.6 million the year prior.
About 9,200 tonnes of corn were exported in the week ending April 16, the CGC said.
That figure brings the year-to-date total to about 382,000, which compares with the previous year’s 319,000.
Feed barley spot prices are hovering around C$2.40 to C$3.46 per bushel in Western Canada, according to data from Prairie Ag Hotwire on Monday.
Feed wheat spot prices are hovering around C$3.50 to C$5.10 per bushel in Western Canada, Prairie Ag Hotwire said.
