Feed Grains: Feed wheat, oat prices weaken in Manitoba

WINNIPEG, Dec. 19 (CNS Canada) – CORN futures on the
Chicago Board of Trade fell three per bushel on Monday, as
traders took profits. Strength in the US dollar was another
factor weighing on the market.
Feed wheat in Manitoba is down a penny on the week,
according to the Prairie Ag Hotwire. Delivered elevator prices
are coming in at C$4.40 to C$4.49 per bushel.
Oat prices fell two cents overnight in Manitoba. Delivered
elevator prices were C$2.90 to C$3.18 per bushel.

According to a report by CHS Hedging, China is preparing to
plant less corn in the upcoming year.
The bird flu epidemic in South Korea appears to be
worsening with another 2.4 million birds, many of which were
ducks, being culled to deal with the problem.
Feed barley bids in the key cattle feeding area of
Lethbridge, Alberta were in the C$170 to C$175 per tonne range
as of December 16, which was the same as the previous week,
according to the latest pricing information from the provincial
government. Feed wheat prices were virtually the same, coming in
at approximately C$190 per tonne in Lethbridge.
