WINNIPEG, Feb. 17 (CNS Canada) – France’s winter barley crop was rated 91 per cent good-to-excellent in the latest report from FranceAgriMer. That’s up one point from the previous week, but slightly behind the 95 per cent rating at the same point a year ago.
Spring barley planting is also getting stared in France, with FranceAgriMer reporting eight per cent of intended acres are already in the ground. That compares with five per cent at the same time a year ago.
Soft wheat crops in the country were pegged at 92 per cent good to excellent.
