Feed Grains: Russian grain exports running slightly behind

WINNIPEG, March 27 (CNS Canada) – Russia exported 26.2 million tonnes of grain as of March 17 during the crop-year-to-date, according to a report from UkrAgroConsult. That’s down slightly from the pace seen the previous year due largely to a decline in barley exports. Both wheat and corn exports were up on the year.

Canada’s oats crop could be up considerably in 2017, according to a report from Farm Credit Canada, forecasting an area of over three million acres. About 2.9 million oats acres were seeded in the country in 2016, but only 2.2 million were harvested.
