Winnipeg – Following are a few highlights in the Canadian and world feed grains markets on Wednesday, April 5.
Oat prices in Saskatchewan dipped two cents overnight, according to the latest information from the latest Prairie Ag Hotwire Report. They are currently listed at C$2.23-$2.43 a bushel.
According to data from the Russian government, the county’s wheat exports in the 2016/17 marketing year (July 1 to March 29) are up 5.4 percent from last year at 21.7 million tonnes.
Southern Australia is recording a record harvest. According to Primary Industries and Regions SA Crop and Pasture Report, total grain production for the region in 2016/17 was pegged at 11.1 million tonnes. That number exceeds the 2010/11 record of 10.3 million tonnes. The Eastern Eye region was especially productive for the region, recording the highest tonnage for wheat at more than one million pounds.

Feed wheat bids in the key cattle feeding area of
Lethbridge, Alberta were in the C$179 to C$185 per tonne range
as of March 31, which was roughly a dollar weaker compared to the previous week, according to the latest pricing information from the provincial government. Feed barley prices were up seven dollars at the low end of the range, at C$165 to C$168 per tonne in Lethbridge.
