Winnipeg – Following are a few highlights in the Canadian and world feed grains markets on Friday, April 7.
Oat prices in Manitoba rose five cents on the week, according to the latest information from the latest Prairie Ag Hotwire Report. They are currently listed at C$2.18-$2.87 a bushel.
Feed barley prices in Manitoba fell 25 cents last week to an average price of C$2.80 a bushel.
According to the USDA’s bureau in Saudi Arabia, the country is planning to expand its presence in the corn market. Barley imports have been cut significantly as the country switched to processed feed. The USDA predicts corn imports in 2017/18 will reach a record 4.30 tonnes, which is an increase of 400,000 tonnes.

as of March 31, which was roughly a dollar weaker compared to the previous week, according to the latest pricing information from the provincial government. Feed barley prices were up seven dollars at the low end of the range, at C$165 to C$168 per tonne in Lethbridge.
