and world feed grains markets on Thursday, December 3.
– CBOT corn futures were up roughly 6 cents on Thursday, as a weaker US dollar and spillover support from wheat underpinned the market.
– Heavy rain is causing headaches for port operators in southern Brazil. At least four major outlets have had shipments of corn backed up due to delays caused by the recent downpour.
– France is preparing to ship wheat to Indonesia for the first time in six years, according to reports out of the countries.

– Russia’s first deputy minister of Agriculture told reporters yesterday his country does not plan to ban grain exports to Turkey. The statement comes as Russian grain prices show signs of weakening on concerns of exports to Turkey, which is Russia’s largest buyer of wheat.
– Wheat planting is nearing completion in the Punjabi area of northern India. According to a report in The Hindu newspaper, unions and labour groups in the area have also launched demonstrations against the government over claims it hasn’t fairly compensated farmers for certain crop losses caused by whiteflies.
– Feed barley bids in the key cattle feeding area of
Lethbridge, Alberta were C$3.50-4.00 per bushel, according to Prairie Ag Hotwire. Feed wheat prices are in the C$4.75-5.00 range.
