WINNIPEG, Oct. 26 (MarketsFarm) – The following is a glance at the news moving markets in Canada and globally.

– Pro-democracy protesters in Sudan barricaded streets for the second-day in a row as thousands demonstrated against the military coup that overthrew the country’s interim government on Monday. At least seven demonstrators have been killed by the military so far, according to reports. Internet access has been cut off in the country, with the coup being largely condemned by the international community.

– Canada’s recently re-elected minority Liberal government will swear in their new cabinet on Tuesday, with a number of new faces expected in some key positions. Gender parity and regional representation are expected to be priorities in the makeup of the cabinet. While there will be some changes in the front bench, Prime Minister Trudeau has already announced that Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland will stay in her role.
