– Thousands of protesters in Tripoli, Lebanon, demonstrating over the country’s devalued currency clashed with the Lebanese army, leaving dozens injured and at least one dead on Tuesday, according to reports. The Lebanese pound has lost more than 50 per cent of its value over the past six months.

– Speculation continues over the health and whereabouts of North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, with the latest talk out of South Korea that the secretive leader may in hiding due to fears over COVID-19. The leader of the highly secretive country has not been seen since April 11, and wide-ranging rumours include the possibility that he died due to from complications from a cardiovascular surgery.

– The state of New York has cancelled its presidential primary over concerns it would create too many risks amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
