WINNIPEG, April 27 (MarketsFarm) – The following is a glance at the news moving markets in Canada and globally.

– Some countries are set to ease their COVID-19 lockdown measures, including Italy and New Zealand, while in other areas officials remain of the opinion that it’s still too early. In the United States a number of states are set to ease restrictions this week, despite warnings from health experts and the lack of adequate testing.

– The health and whereabouts of North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un are unknown, with rumours circulating over the weekend that he may have died or was in a vegetative state due to complications of a cardiovascular surgery. The leader of the highly secretive country has not been seen since April 11. However, South Korean intelligence officials have not detected any suspicious activity and report that Kim is still in good health.
