Two prominent organizers of the so-called Freedom Convoy, Tamara Lich and Chris Barber, were both charged and arrested by OPS on Thursday. Approximately 100 checkpoints have been set up around the area by police and Friday’s sitting of the House of Commons, where Members of Parliament were expected to debate measures enacted under The Emergencies Act, was cancelled.

The federal government had announced a deal 18 months ago to produce the vaccine in Montreal, but delays have greatly affected production. The vaccine is protein-based, which would allow those either concerned about or who cannot receive an mRNA vaccine to be protected against COVID-19.
