– In an interview on 60 Minutes, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman warned that an armed conflict with Iran would spark a sharp rise in crude oil prices. While he blamed attacks on Saudi Arabian oil facilities on Sept. 14 on Iran, he also said he preferred a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
– Canada’s Industrial Product Price Index increased by 0.2 per cent in August, after a 0.3 per cent decline the previous month, according to a report from Statistics Canada. Meanwhile, the Raw Materials Price Index declined by 1.8 per cent on the month, after a 1.3 per cent increase in July.
– Heavy late monsoon rains in the northern Indian states of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh have killed at least 100 people and caused severe damage from flooding.
