Highlights from Farmfair International

Farmfair International was held in Edmonton, Alta., from November 9 to 12, with perhaps the largest prize money payout in North America (over $300,000). The quality of cattle did not disappoint. 

Here are some highlights from the show results: 

  • Speckle Park Bull Champion: Ravenworth Kraken 505J co-owner Wolf Lake Speckle Park. 
  • Speckle Park Female Champion: Ravenworth Willow 510H and Ravenworth Willow 304K. 
  • Maine Anjou Grand Champion Bull: Mr. Rusylvia We Deliver 39J exhibited by Rusylvia Cattle Co and the We Deliver Syndicate. 
  • Maine Anjou Grand Champion Female: Miss Rusylvia 7J exhibited by Rusylvia Cattle Co. 
  • Ultimate Grand Champion Bull Calf: Mader Night Shift 63K exhibited by Mader Ranches. 
  • Ultimate Grand Champion Heifer Calf: RF Certainly Flirt exhibited by Rancier Farms. 
  • Salers Grand Champion Bull: TSC Dr J 1J exhibited by Scattered Spruce Salers. 
  • Salers Grand Champion Female: YFS Miss Bethany 47K exhibited by Tierra Sol Cattle Company. 
  • All Other Breeds Grand Champion Bull: Swiss Tradition Jax 4J exhibited by Swiss Tradition Branuvieh. 
  • All Other Breeds Grand Champion Female: Swiss Tradition Jazz 7C exhibited by Swiss Tradition Braunvieh.
