Twin View Livestock and Goodview Gelbvieh exhibited the Grand Champion Purebred Bull, AWB Twin View Universal 22L ET, at Farmfair’s 50th Anniversary National Gelbvieh Show. Twin View Livestock hails from Parkbeg, Sask., and Goodview Gelbvieh from Punnichy, Sask. The Grand Champion Purebred Female was RWG Parkland K406, exhibited by Royal Western Gelbvieh of Red Deer County, Alta.

The Gelbvieh Association of Alberta/ B.C. Junior Incentive Program was another huge success, with 34 juniors entering the draw, with a total of 154 entries. The junior incentive breeders’ purse was a total of $3,250, which was split into two draws plus a third draw of $1,000 from the association. A grooming package sponsored by Co-op as part of the mentorship program was also donated for a fourth draw.

Brantley Horn won the $1,625 draw, and purchased DL Jen-Ty Sweet Pea 123M from Jen-Ty Gelbvieh, Duchess, Alta. Hannah McCracken also won a $1,625 draw, and purchased JNA Spice Girl 83M ET from Pearson Farms, Calmar, Alta. Lauren Pancoast won the Co-op grooming package.
