On October 12, Red Angus breeders from across Canada and the U.S. gathered at the annual Canadian Red Angus Roundup Sale. Cattle were sold across Canada and U.S.A strong group of females were on offer with sale managed by OBI Livestock Ltd.
High-selling pick of the herd: Lot 2 Pick of the heifer calves at Rohrich’s Cutting Edge Ranch sold to Tate Wheeler of Wheeler’s Stock Farm, Saskatoon, Sask., for $29,000.
High-selling bred heifer: Lot 34 Red Allison Carlee 197L sold to Blairs. Ag Cattle Co., Lanigan, Sask., for $31,000.
High-selling heifer calf: Lot 20 Red Wright’s 27F Taffeta 463M sold for $20,000 to Larre Ranching, St. Walburg, Sask.

The Canadian Red Angus Pro motion Society bestowed two $1,000 awards to Red Angus Juniors furthering their careers. The recipients were Maria Taschuk of Two Hills, Alta., and Shelby Scott of Crossfield, Alta.
