Manitoba Youth Beef Round-Up congratulates the 2023 scholarship recipients: Lainie Muir, Emily Speers and Allie Lavich.

Lainie Muir of Glenella, Man., is attending the University of Saskatchewan, taking a bachelor of science in agriculture (soil science). She is the Manitoba director on the Canadian Junior Angus Association. In August, she attended the American Angus Association LEAD conference in Modesto, California, on behalf of the Canadian Angus Juniors.

Emily Speers of Alexander, Man., is attending Assiniboine Community College taking a diploma in agribusiness. Speers likes to work with youth and help them with clipping and grooming.

Allie Lavich of Carberry, Man., is also attending Assiniboine Community College, taking a diploma in agribusiness. She is just starting her herd of cattle but is eager to learn and is enthusiastic about agriculture. She volunteers with several organizations in her community.
