“All in all the Stampede Parade in 1912 was a living panorama, passing in review through the streets of Calgary. It depicted the progress that had been made in a few short years. It was so recognized and applauded by the public and representatives of the world press who were present in large numbers and witnessed it. It was acclaimed the greatest Parade of its kind ever presented anywhere. It was genuine; it carried sentiment; it was historical; it was educational; and above all it was Western. No one was disappointed.”
