Very strong market this week, with nearly 3,800 cattle through the ring at Virden, Man. Five per cent of those animals were butcher cattle, five per cent fresh calves and 90 per cent feeders. Well-sorted cattle in big groups are bringing premiums. Southern Alberta buyers took 40 per cent of the cattle, local buyers 30 per cent, Eastern buyers 20 per cent and U.S. buyers 10 per cent.

Get your cattle pre-booked into large sales. Volume creates interest, which creates more dollars for the producers.
