Beijing officials were calling for calm negotiations on Monday and a de-escalation of the conflict. Meanwhile, United States President Donald Trump also said a deal may be close.
– The G7 will provide logistical support and US$22 million to help fight fires in the Amazon rainforest. French President Emmanuel Macron, who is hosting the G7 meeting, said the funds will be immediately available. France is also providing military support.
