Canada Beef is pleased to announce the launch of three new programs designed to enhance Canadians’ ability to access beef recipes that fit their culture, lifestyle, and health and wellness needs. The programs can be found on the Canadian Beef Information Gateway, a digital ecosystem of information about all things beef.
World cuisine
The world cuisine section hosts a large selection of delicious beef dishes highlighting various cuisines, through recipes from around the globe. From Italian beef pasta dishes and Caribbean beef stew to Thai beef satay and Jewish beef brisket, there are a myriad of flavours for consumers to experience and expand their recipe repertoires.

“The world cuisine program features recipes from a diverse and talented group of food influencers and chefs to help showcase what consumers can create with Canadian beef,” says Canada Beef executive vice-president Mark Klassen.
“These recipes profile and celebrate flavours that Canadians from various cultural backgrounds will enjoy.”
The recipes are also timely. In June, Canada’s population reached a significant milestone of 40 million people.
The recipes include a video that makes preparing these unique beef dishes that much easier and allows each influencer to share how their culture is woven into their Canadian beef recipes.
Recipe collections
When Canada Beef launched the gateway, it included hundreds of tasty beef recipes. With the launch of recipe collections, users can search the gateway to quickly find a recipe that fits their lifestyle.
The recipe collections section is designed to make it easy to find recipe options that fit a particular meal planning need or culinary interest across the many recipes available in the gateway, says Joyce Parslow, Canada Beef executive director of consumer marketing.
Recipe collections includes a “kid pleasers” category featuring recipes developed with children in mind, and a “make ahead” collection with convenient recipes — as well as everything in between.
Each recipe comes with an easy-to-follow video that shows how to cook the beef dish to help ensure Canadians have an enjoyable eating experience.
Diet and wellness
According to the Public Health Agency of Canada almost half of Canadian adults (44 per cent) have at least one common health condition such as diabetes, heart disease and osteoporosis. Most of these conditions benefit from diet and lifestyle changes. Many Canadians could benefit from eating nutrient-dense beef.
Registered dietitian and Canada Beef health and wellness expert advisory committee chair Crystal MacGregor says the diet and wellness program enables consumers with diet concerns to access beef recipes and meal solutions that are suitable for their particular dietary needs.
“Canada Beef would like to support health-conscious Canadians and has curated a collection of recipes by diet type, while keeping the delicious flavour of beef,” she says.
From heart-friendly to gluten-free, users of the program can search according to common medical conditions or specific nutrients of interest and find recipes that align with the dietary modifications they require.
“We know people love beef, and Canada Beef has made it easy for them to navigate recipes, find convenient and satisfying meal solutions, and remind Canadians that beef fits in their diets to help them stay healthy and reach their wellness goals,” MacGregor says.
Canada Beef encourages consumers to browse the world cuisine, recipe collections, and diet and wellness programs and take advantage of the multitude of convenient, beneficial and delectable beef recipes in the gateway.
