– A third possible coronavirus vaccine is moving to the human trial stage of testing. China’s Sinovac Biotech, together with Brazilian vaccine producer Instituto Butantan, will conduct the study on roughly 9,000 healthcare workers in Brazil.
– The United States may consider banning the popular app TikTok and other Chinese apps, according to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. TikTok is facing backlash over security issues and claims the app could be used to provide data to the Chinese government. India recently banned TikTok and other Chinese-based apps following a skirmish between the two countries along their border. TikTok maintains that it would never share data with China.
