Wild Horse Drive – City Style

‘Not so long ago, Tom Baird of the Vancouver Stockyards, Bill Studdert of the Gang Ranch, and myself were talking horse on the ranchhouse porch here at Rimrock, when Tom broke suddenly into a fit of laughter. There wasn’t much to laugh at in the conversation. We were just yarning about horse round-ups and horse drives, but Tom took his glasses off, grabbed his stomach and doubled up. Bill knew Tom well. He grinned at me and then barked – “Out with it, Tom – what’s the story?”’
