‘Anyone meeting Mr. Edwards casually would hardly get to know him as he was a very shy, retiring man. He had a brilliant mind and was most appreciated by those who knew him well. He was a constant reader of ever so many periodicals – The London Times, Smart Set, Graphic, News of the World, Manchester Guardian, Nation, New York Times and many others. He had an excellent sense of humor and a retentive memory. He would illustrate his jovial lines by little drawings of cowboys and bucking horses, which were always most amusing.’
