Forage Experiments at Fogelvik Farms

‘Many livestock men have experienced extreme difficulties this year in providing feed for their cattle. The cover crop froze in many districts and was of no use. Part of the grain crop was froze in many districts and was of no use. Part of the grain crop was frozen in such an early stage that not even the straw could be used, as it contained poison which in many cases proves fatal to livestock when straw is the bulk of the feed.’
